St. Francis Xavier improves church networking across 20 acres with InterWorks

St. Francis Xavier, a Catholic parish in Stillwater, Oklahoma, faced significant IT infrastructure challenges as it grew. Without a formal IT partner, the church relied on congregants for its networking, which resulted in an unreliable DSL internet connection, poor Wi-Fi coverage, and a severely limited two-landline phone system that hindered communication and growth. A parishioner recommended InterWorks to address these needs for improved wireless access and telephone communication.

InterWorks implemented a new Mitel Cloud Connect phone system for both parishes and a Ruckus Wireless solution with ten access points to ensure comprehensive coverage. They also deployed a Sophos XG firewall for security. This new infrastructure provided reliable connectivity, streamlined communications with features like call routing and transfer, enabled remote work for staff and wireless control of building systems, and improved security with web filtering. The solution gave St. Francis Xavier a business-class network that supports its continued growth and community impact.
