Pawnee Public Schools - Customer Case Study

Pawnee Public Schools, a district in Pawnee, Oklahoma, had long-standing IT challenges including very low internet bandwidth, outdated workstations and servers, limited wireless access, aging network cabling, and an inefficient content filtering setup. InterWorks worked with the district over many years to address these issues and support its growing technology needs.

InterWorks upgraded Pawnee Public Schools to LightSpeed content filtering, expanded bandwidth from 3.0 Mbps to 700 Mbps with a planned move to 1 Gbps, implemented Ruckus Wireless district-wide, replaced copper cabling with fiber, and moved servers to Hyper-V virtual servers while also helping refresh student devices and introduce Google Apps and Chromebooks. These changes improved security, reliability, communication, and access to technology across the district, reducing single points of failure and giving students and staff far better connectivity and resources.
