OSU Ag Econ worked with InterWorks to modernize an older educational software system used by students analyzing the cattle meat market. The department needed a better way to run the games and support its teaching and research goals.

InterWorks built a multiplayer game system on the .NET Framework 2.0, including a multithreaded remoting server with Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005 and custom PDA remoting clients, along with security, authentication, and reporting features. As a result, the clients now run games on 21 devices, instructors spend less time managing gameplay, and OSU Ag Econ can better data mine the results for research and teaching improvements.
