Cockrell Eye Center, an all-inclusive optometry practice serving central Oklahoma, was outgrowing its physical hardware as patient demand and advanced diagnostic equipment increased IT needs. The center needed a seamless virtualization integration solution that could be implemented without any downtime, given its round-the-clock workload. InterWorks was brought in to help modernize the environment.

InterWorks converted Cockrell Eye Center’s wireless network to a Ruckus environment, added a centrally managed guest network, and virtualized the hardware with centralized storage using VMware, Dell R610 servers, and a Dell MD3220i storage array. InterWorks also deployed an Astaro firewall with dual ISP failover for added reliability. The result was a more efficient, agile, and reliable IT environment with improved data transfer and better use of physical hardware.
