Brighter Choice Foundation, a support organization for charter schools in Albany, NY, needed a better way to consolidate data from multiple sources so it could improve standard reporting and trend analysis in Tableau. InterWorks worked with BCF to address the challenge of tracking student achievement and school operational effectiveness across its network of schools.

InterWorks implemented a small data warehouse to centralize disparate data, built ETL logic, and used Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to automate data loading, with Tableau Software powering visual and interactive dashboards. The result was a more sophisticated, user-friendly reporting environment that enabled reports BCF had not been able to create before and improved how the foundation collects, analyzes, and shares data.
