Brighter Choice Foundation worked with InterWorks to address a major data challenge: they were receiving dirty, disparate information from eleven schools and struggled to compile an annual student achievement report for funders. What once took more than a week to complete needed a faster, more effective way to consolidate and analyze data, and InterWorks recommended Tableau for reporting.

InterWorks analyzed BCF’s data infrastructure and reporting processes, acted as a CIO advisor, and installed the needed hardware and software to support the new approach. As a result, Brighter Choice Foundation moved from using disjointed Excel files to visualizing data in Tableau, gaining better insight into cohort trends and student progress. Most notably, InterWorks helped reduce annual report preparation from days to minutes, while also providing ongoing ad-hoc consulting for school data coordinators.
