BIOtechNow, the biotechnology organization BIO’s web property, needed to consolidate its previous blog system into a cohesive informational site for the biotechnology community, including industry leaders, legislators, and members. InterWorks was brought in to help address this challenge with a custom development approach centered on a new WordPress-based multiblog platform.

InterWorks built the multiblog WordPress site to support authoring needs, preserve compatibility with legacy blog data, and integrate Baker & Hill’s design with the project’s technical requirements. InterWorks also trained the client on using the platform, resulting in a unified blogging system with improved social media integration for Twitter and Facebook; BIOtechNOW launched successfully on June 21, 2011 to align with BIO’s International Convention in Washington, D.C.
