Up&Up is a Greenville, South Carolina–based digital strategy agency founded in 2002 that provides web design, development, SEO, email marketing and social media services, with strengths in higher education, private manufacturing and luxury brands. After relocating from Atlanta for better work–life balance they worried about losing clients and faced an operational challenge: find a management tool that handled both multi-project workflows and a high volume of short-lived support tickets—options they evaluated were either creative-focused or IT-ticketing only.
They chose Intervals in 2007, a platform that combined project management and support-ticket capabilities, allowing them to manage multiple concurrent projects and hundreds of support tasks, scale from a team of four to ten, and simplify processes by moving to broader task structures. The tool’s reporting (notably billable vs. non-billable trends) helped improve planning and profitability, supported a shift toward larger retainer contracts, and enabled them to retain all clients through the transition.
