LUCITA is a high‑end, socially responsible design and communications firm near New York City. Its producer, Birgitte, struggled to manage a distributed team across three time zones using spreadsheets, paper timesheets and email; when a client expanded a web project midstream it became nearly impossible to separate billable extra work from contracted hours, leading to lost time and billing headaches.

Birgitte implemented Intervals, an online project and time‑tracking system with task, project and people management, client access and reporting. The tool centralized work, gave the team autonomy, made client requests and progress transparent, eliminated lost timesheets and simplified billing — ultimately paying for itself many times over.
