GSB Flavor Creators, a family-owned custom flavor manufacturer, needed to stay competitive by achieving GFSI certification, but they lacked outside audit experience, had limited internal resources, and faced a major traceability challenge across more than 600 active ingredients. Intertek Alchemy’s consulting services were brought in to help GSB prepare for the audit and strengthen compliance processes.

Intertek Alchemy implemented a four-phase consulting approach that included gap analysis, program development, internal audit support, and audit representation, along with tailored HACCP and traceability plans. The result was a score of 95 on GSB’s first GMP audit, successful GFSI certification, and a more reliable documentation system that helped retain existing customers and win new business.
