A InterSystems Case Study
The Yorkshire and the Humber Strategic Health Authority wanted to create secure, timely, joined-up clinical information flows across multiple organisations to improve care and patient safety and reduce duplicated tests. Fragmented systems and varying IT maturity across trusts made it difficult to implement a coherent regional approach.
The SHA standardised on InterSystems Ensemble, using collaborative funding, E2 licences, training, demonstrations and shared integration components to speed adoption and interoperability. The single platform delivered faster information flow, improved access to records and clinical decision-making, reduced duplication and total cost of ownership, and provided a scalable regional template for further integrated-care projects.
