With InterSystems, Assurenet finds a breakthrough platform for Big Data, integration, and analytics

AssureNet provides clearView, a telematics and analytics service that equips taxis with sensor and recorder packages to capture GPS, accelerometer, audio, and video data. Faced with the challenge of ingesting and analyzing high-volume, real-time streams from thousands of vehicles—and needing to scale quickly without diverting focus from its core services—AssureNet needed a platform that could handle device connectivity, integration, and Big Data analytics reliably and affordably.

Working with Ready Computing, AssureNet built clearView on the InterSystems single-stack platform, using an adapter framework, a high-performance integration/transactional store, and a real-time analytical database to link each vehicle to its data and run proprietary analytics. The solution accelerated time-to-market, enabled irrefutable claims evidence and proactive risk management (prototype results showed a 50% taxi accident reduction and prior deployments cut trucking accidents by 87% per million miles), lowered insurer payouts and fleet premiums, and created a third-party–ready architecture for future apps.
