Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) is Thailand’s largest private hospital provider, operating 26 hospitals including the 4-hospital Bangkok Medical Center (BMC) campus. Facing rapid growth and a need to improve operational efficiency and clinical decision-making, BDMS needed a unified electronic patient record and reliable, real-time access to lab orders and results to eliminate lost requests, duplicate testing, and delays in care.

BDMS implemented InterSystems TrakCare, an Internet-based EPR with a single patient view, integrated lab module and interfaces to point-of-care devices, and mobile access (including iPad trials). The system delivered immediate visibility of orders and results across departments, virtually eliminated lost results and duplicate orders, increased efficiency and clinician time with patients, shortened turnaround times, and supported better clinical decisions and outcomes.
