Groupement des Hôpitaux de l’Institut Catholique de Lille (GHICL) is a private, non-profit teaching hospital group in France with 900 beds and comprehensive services that extend into patients’ homes. Operating in a demanding national healthcare environment, GHICL needed a robust, interoperable IT platform to deliver a shared electronic health record, support comprehensive clinical workflows, meet new government requirements, and reduce IT time spent on performance, integration, and development.

GHICL deployed the French Country edition of InterSystems trakCare using the arIeS rapid implementation methodology and went live in seven months. The rollout delivered strong user adoption, a shared patient record across hospitals, the ability to process electronic prescriptions, reduced IT burden, and a scalable foundation for analytics and a planned organization-wide rollout as France’s first trakCare-based “digital hospital.”
