A InterSystems Case Study
Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center’s Nephrology Department, which manages about 200 dialysis treatments a day across 45 stations, relied on manual sampling and paper charts that required doctors to be onsite to prescribe and supervise care. This labor-intensive process was logistically complex, time-consuming for clinicians and exposed to transcription errors and delays in patient records.
The hospital implemented the CHAMELEON EMR integrated with other hospital systems using InterSystems Ensemble, enabling automatic transfer of data from dialysis machines, labs and admissions into a unified electronic record and going live in three months. The result: paperless, real-time treatment records, remote doctor access, faster nurse workflows, improved accuracy and reduced clinical risk.
