Paradisio’s Bambolino, a family-owned Belgian baby-products department, was struggling with the administrative burden of more than 600 baby gift registries a year. The manual process involved hundreds of touchpoints per registry, causing slow, error-prone work and limiting productivity as the business grew.

The company implemented a web-enabled, integrated system built on the InterSystems Caché database, putting registries online for in-store touchscreens and remote access, enabling real-time transactions, reservations and electronic announcements/payments. The solution reduced staffing pressure, boosted productivity and cut costs after a €400k IT investment, generating new revenue (over 20 online reservations/day and rising) and providing a scalable platform for further expansion.
