Ensemble Opens New Markets for DCC/WoodWare Systems

DCC/WoodWare Systems, a division of Data Communications Corporation, created WarehouseXT to automate warehouse operations for the millwork industry and launched DCC eXacTrax to sell it to other value-added resellers. The challenge was to deliver a product that could be deployed and connected reliably across a wide variety of customer environments and integrate in real time with existing ERP systems.

They built WarehouseXT on InterSystems Ensemble, using its ready-made adapters, SQL support and built-in messaging and testing tools to simplify integration and troubleshooting. A staged rollout for Goebel Fixture Company was completed in three months, producing bin-level inventory visibility, barcode-verified picking that cut picking time and errors, real-time ERP visibility of receipts and picks, and a repeatable integration approach that supports expansion into new verticals.
