Dynamic Clinical Systems (DCS), a Hanover, NH company spun out of Dartmouth medical research, needed a scalable, high‑performance way to capture patient‑reported outcomes (PROs) for clinical studies. The challenge was delivering a web‑based, software‑as‑a‑service solution that lets clinicians create tailored, relevant surveys and aggregate results across sites without performance or integration bottlenecks.

DCS built the Integrated Survey System® (ISS) on InterSystems Caché, using Caché’s scalability, high performance, and web‑services support to deliver a customizable, SaaS survey platform. ISS makes it easy for patients to complete surveys online (increasing response rates and data quality), stores PROs in a common database for richer research analysis, and benefits from reliable vendor support that reassures customers.
