Brasher’s Auto Auctions Select InterSystems Caché Database For Real-time Auction System Processing Sales in Excess of $1.5 Billion

Brasher’s Auto Auctions, the third-largest auto-auction company in the U.S. with more than $1.5 billion in annual vehicle sales and six locations across the Western U.S., faced technical problems and uncertainty with its legacy MultiValue (MV) database. The IT team needed to migrate more than 8,000 programs—including real-time bid processing and accounting systems—to a platform that offered resiliency, high performance, and long-term vendor support.

Brasher’s selected the InterSystems Caché MV database for its object-oriented bridge from legacy MV applications, strong transaction performance, rich development tools (including an effective debugger), and 24/7 support. The rollout across six sites was successful, delivering reliable real-time auction processing and a modern, scalable architecture that positions Brasher’s for continued growth and competitive enhancement.
