A International Private Banking Systems Case Study
Sentinel Bank & Trust, part of The Colina Imperial Financial Group and a provider of trust, corporate secretarial and international private banking services to high‑net‑worth clients, inherited a fragmented legacy IT landscape that blocked growth. The bank was running separate transactional and general ledger systems that required end‑of‑day interfaces, had no client‑facing internet capability, an ageing database at risk of being lost, and slow support from its incumbent supplier. Sentinel engaged International Private Banking Systems (IPBS) to perform a root‑and‑branch replacement using IPBS’s private banking suite.
International Private Banking Systems implemented six of its seven IPBS modules (including Banking, Trust, Investments, Funds, Compliance and Remote Client Access) to deliver a single‑source, fully integrated back office with real‑time updates and 24/7 support. The IPBS solution provided internet access for consolidated client portfolio views and transaction execution, full AML/KYC compliance, and eliminated the need to maintain legacy systems by migrating up to 12 years of transaction history. As a result, Sentinel reduced re‑keying and multi‑entry errors, gained seamless operational control, avoided legacy maintenance costs, and repositioned the bank to better serve HNWI clients.
