Preview of the Trivantage Case Study

Trivantage Had 50,000 Fabric Rolls and Difficulty Storing Them Interlake Mecalux Made One Suggestion

Trivantage, the national fabric distributor for Glen Raven, needed a better way to store and track more than 50,000 fabric rolls at its LEED Silver-certified Mebane, North Carolina warehouse. The company’s existing stack-and-tug storage methods were damaging product, slowing picking, and making it difficult to access single rolls quickly for fast-turn orders.

Interlake Mecalux, working with Tompkins International and Cornerstone Wood, designed a dense single-selective racking system using custom wooden decks and dividers to hold individual rolls without cardboard tubes. The solution improved accessibility, reduced fabric damage and fire risk, and enabled faster, paperless picking through the WMS. The system delivered three times more shelves than standard bays and helped Trivantage maximize storage density while speeding order fulfillment.
