A Interlake Mecalux Case Study
Piracanjuba, a Brazilian dairy company founded in 1955 in the city of the same name, needed to expand its finished-goods storage to support rising sales and a growing product range. To meet this challenge, Interlake Mecalux designed a warehouse solution for its distribution center in Minas Gerais using a mix of drive-in pallet racking, selective pallet racking, and pallet flow racks.
Interlake Mecalux implemented the three storage systems to classify inventory by turnover and improve operational efficiency: selective racks for versatile access, pallet flow racks for FIFO product rotation, and drive-in racks for high-density storage of multiple pallets per SKU. The result was a warehouse with capacity for 6,320 pallets, helping Piracanjuba organize operations more effectively and respond to customer demand faster.
