The Warehouse Operates at a Constant Temperature of -13 °f to Ensure the Correct Preservation of the Food

Cabezuelo Foods, a family-run Spanish producer and distributor of precooked deep-frozen food, was facing rapid growth of around 8–10% a year and needed to centralize logistics, improve efficiency, and reduce the costs and risks of managing frozen goods across multiple facilities. To meet these challenges, the company turned to Interlake Mecalux for a more future-ready warehouse solution.

Interlake Mecalux implemented an automated rack-supported warehouse with the Pallet Shuttle system served by transfer cars, along with Easy WMS and an anthropomorphic robot for picking. The new facility stores 5,104 pallets at -13 °F, speeds up goods in/out and order preparation, and improves traceability and energy efficiency; the robot can handle 1,350 boxes per hour, while the operation now supports 100–150 orders a day.
