Grupo Gonher, a Mexico-based musical instruments and sound equipment company, needed to bring order and speed to its 6,000 m² distribution center in Mexico City as sales grew and its inventory of about 14,900 SKUs became harder to manage. Picking was slow, stock control was limited, and the warehouse was running out of space. To solve this, Grupo Gonher partnered with Interlake Mecalux and implemented Easy WMS warehouse management software.

Interlake Mecalux redesigned the warehouse and deployed Easy WMS to direct receiving, storage, replenishment, and order picking in real time, integrating it with the ERP. The system optimized slotting by product rotation and size, improved space utilization, and organized picking through radiofrequency-guided tasks and order grouping. As a result, Grupo Gonher reduced shipping times, eliminated overtime-driven bottlenecks, and can now process orders in less than 24 hours if they arrive before noon, while operating with a single daily shift.
