The Modern Animal Food Warehouse of Nestlé Purina in Chile

Nestlé Purina, a major pet food manufacturer in Chile, needed a high-capacity warehouse that could support its new production center in Teno while handling large daily order volumes and fast, efficient picking. Interlake Mecalux was brought in to provide a storage solution using its Pallet Shuttle system.

Interlake Mecalux equipped the facility with three high-density rack blocks and picking aisles, creating a 7,278-pallet storage capacity and enabling dynamic order preparation from lower-level flow channels. The solution streamlined movement, supported FIFO stock rotation for dated food products, and helped Nestlé Purina manage more than 300 pallets received and 480 pallets shipped per day with improved productivity and space utilization.
