Alliance Healthcare, a leading pharmaceutical distributor in Portugal, needed to maximize storage capacity and streamline picking at its Lisbon logistics center while classifying products by SKU type and turnover. Interlake Mecalux supplied the storage equipment for the facility, including light-duty shelves, carton flow racks, selective pallet racks, and a conveyor circuit to connect the different warehouse areas.

Interlake Mecalux implemented a sectored picking warehouse with dedicated zones for A, B, and C products, plus reserve pallet storage, so operators could work by area and orders could move efficiently to consolidation. The solution improved order preparation and consolidation, optimized operator movements, enabled direct access to merchandise, and supported efficient stock control, helping Alliance Healthcare serve more than 2,000 pharmacies nationwide.
