The Food Company Grupo Siro Has Increased Its Capacity and Productivity With a 118’ High Clad-rack Warehouse

Grupo Siro, one of Spain’s leading manufacturers of biscuits, pasta, bread, pastries and cereals, needed to expand storage and streamline operations as demand from Mercadona drove rapid growth. To reduce reliance on external warehouses and improve coordination across its supply chain, it turned to vendor Interlake Mecalux for a more efficient logistics solution.

Interlake Mecalux designed and installed a fully automated logistics center at Grupo Siro’s headquarters in Venta de Baños, featuring a clad-rack warehouse, stacker cranes, conveyors and the Easy WMS warehouse management system. The facility centralized receiving, storage, picking and dispatch in one space, increased capacity to 40,320 pallets, improved safety and productivity, and reduced operating costs by eliminating external storage.
