The Distributor of the Italian Simply Supermarket Chain Expands Its Distribution Centre With Pallet Racking

Centro 3A SPA, part of the Auchan group and supplier to Italy’s Simply supermarket chain, needed to keep expanding its Asti warehouse to support rapid growth and a wide assortment of SKUs. Interlake Mecalux provided selective pallet racking to help the company store large volumes of mixed products while maintaining efficient stock control and easy access to goods.

Interlake Mecalux installed 26-foot-high selective pallet racks with capacity for 7,826 pallets, using lower levels for picking and upper levels for reserve stock. The solution improved product availability, streamlined warehouse movements with an underpass and voice-picking guidance, and delivered higher productivity through direct access to inventory and faster order preparation.
