Textbook Rental Company Rent a Book Has Deployed Easy WMS

Rent a Book, a Belgian online textbook rental and sales company, needed a better way to handle its rapidly growing, highly seasonal order volume at its Enghien warehouse. The business was relying on pen-and-paper processes, which led to errors, delays, and costly returns during its busiest back-to-school period. Interlake Mecalux provided its Easy WMS warehouse management system, along with the Multi Carrier Shipping Software module, to support the operation.

With Interlake Mecalux’s Easy WMS in place, Rent a Book streamlined receiving, storage, order picking, and shipping for 1,700 SKUs and 40,000–45,000 orders processed between July and September. The system enabled wave picking, real-time inventory control, automated label and shipment management, and faster dispatch through Bpost integration. As a result, Rent a Book reduced picking errors and returns, improved fulfillment speed, and achieved a quicker return on investment.
