Surplus Motos Automation Drives Growth

Surplus Motos, a French company that recycles and sells spare parts for used motorcycles, wanted to optimize logistics, improve order preparation, and better manage inventory as it expanded. Interlake Mecalux supported the project with an automated warehouse for boxes managed by Easy WMS, along with pallet racks and picking shelves.

Interlake Mecalux designed a three-zone storage system to organize parts by size and turnover, using automation for fast-moving small items and conventional racks for larger components. The new 2.8-acre logistics center provides space for 300,000 parts, storage for 11,904 boxes, and capacity to recycle up to 10,000 motorbikes per year, while helping Surplus Motos prepare 200 orders per day with greater speed and accuracy.
