A Interlake Mecalux Case Study

Preview of the Saint-Gobain Case Study

Saint-gobain & Interlake Mecalux a Collaboration Synonymous With Success

Saint-Gobain, one of the world’s largest industrial groups, needed a flexible warehouse model for its maintenance centres in France to store a wide mix of products, including pallets of various sizes, oversized items, small parts, tubes and profiles. To meet this challenge, Saint-Gobain worked with Interlake Mecalux on a sectored warehouse concept combining pallet racking, cantilever racking and several picking solutions.

Interlake Mecalux implemented a standardized yet adaptable layout featuring pallet racks with wire mesh shelving, mezzanines and picking blocks for small items, and cantilever racking for long and heavy loads. The solution improved space utilization, enabled direct access and faster order preparation, and created a repeatable warehouse model for Saint-Gobain’s sites, delivering time and cost savings while adapting capacity to each warehouse.
