Pallet Racking and Racks on Mobile Bases Store Raw Materials and Finished Products for a Leading Plastic Packing Manufacturer

Cartolux Thiers, a French manufacturer of thermoformed packaging for industries such as cosmetics, electronics, and healthcare, needed a way to store both finished goods ready for dispatch and daily raw materials in the same warehouse. Interlake Mecalux was asked to design a storage solution that could handle many SKUs, variable pallet loads, and fast access to inventory.

Interlake Mecalux implemented a combined system of pallet racking for completed orders and Moviracks on mobile bases for raw materials, maximizing space in a 26,910 ft² warehouse. The result was storage capacity for more than 2,800 pallets, with 1,817 pallet positions in static racking and 960 in Moviracks, while improving throughput, stock control, and direct access to goods.
