Nestlé Is Starting Up a Warehouse for the Powdered Milk Line in Argentina

Nestlé, the global food and beverage company, expanded its manufacturing plant in Villa Nueva, Argentina, to support new production lines for powdered milk and ready-to-drink beverages. To avoid building another facility or using external warehouses, the company needed to recover storage space and improve internal logistics for finished goods. Nestlé worked with Interlake Mecalux to find a high-density storage solution suited to variable product sizes and seasonal demand.

Interlake Mecalux equipped the new warehouse with high-density racking and the semi-automatic Pallet Shuttle system, placed directly next to production. The solution uses FIFO flow and streamlines pallet movement, allowing operators to manage goods quickly with minimal maneuvering. As a result, Nestlé gained storage capacity for 2,668 pallets and can handle about 200 pallets in and 250–300 pallets out each day, improving capacity, flexibility, and agility.
