Narrow aisle selective rack boosts warehouse productivity for Rana Furniture

Rana Furniture, a U.S. home furnishings and decor company with stores across South Florida, needed a central warehouse solution to support rapid growth and keep supplying its retail locations efficiently. Working with Interlake Mecalux, the company looked for a storage system that could maximize capacity while also streamlining manual picking and reducing product damage.

Interlake Mecalux implemented selective pallet racking with narrow aisles and wire-guided forklifts, plus wider aisles for handling larger items. The warehouse now provides 7,656 pallet positions in 22-foot-high racks, helping Rana Furniture improve productivity, fully use its floor space, and cut damage significantly; according to the operations manager, one worker can now prepare three trucks in the time it previously took to prepare one.
