Mecalux Increases the Storage Capacity and Picking of a Distribution Company With the Installation of an Automated Clad Rack Warehouse

Amagosa, a food and beverage distribution and catering products company in Spain, needed to expand its logistics center in Mérida (Badajoz) after years of growth had left its existing facilities too small. To improve performance and reduce labor costs, it turned to Interlake Mecalux and its Mecalux Easy WMS warehouse management software.

Interlake Mecalux implemented an automated clad-rack warehouse with conventional pallet racking, pallet flow channels, a picking station, and two Clasimat vertical warehouses, all coordinated by Easy WMS. The result was a highly automated operation with storage for 2,373 pallets in the automated warehouse and 3,500 pallets overall, faster order preparation, better stock control, and more efficient picking across A, B, and C products.
