Mecalux Builds One of the Largest Automated Rack Supported Warehouses in Europe

Hayat Kimya, a leading manufacturer of hygiene and cleaning products in Turkey, needed a much larger logistics center to keep up with rapid production growth and eliminate transport between its production plants and outside warehouses. The company turned to Interlake Mecalux for an automated storage and handling solution, including a rack supported warehouse and AS/RS stacker cranes.

Interlake Mecalux designed and built one of Europe’s largest automated rack supported warehouses, a 161,000-pallet facility with integrated monorails, conveyors, elevators, dynamic channels, and Easy WMS software to manage the full flow of goods. The system now supports 24/7 operations, handles up to 400 inbound pallets per hour and 450 outbound pallets per hour in peak periods, and has helped Hayat Kimya reduce transport costs, close external warehouses, and speed up inventory movement with fully integrated, automated processes.
