Malfatti & Tacchini Boost Picking Accuracy and Speed in Its New Logistics Centre Just Outside Milan

Malfatti & Tacchini, an Italian distributor of hardware and security items, needed a logistics center that could handle more than 30,000 SKUs and support fast picking for over 200 orders per day. Interlake Mecalux was tasked with designing a warehouse solution that would speed up order preparation while supporting future growth.

Interlake Mecalux equipped the facility with pallet racking for both palletized loads and smaller-item picking, creating direct access to goods and a clear flow from storage to consolidation. The installation includes capacity for 4,388 pallets, dedicated picking racks, and order pickers guided by RF terminals, enabling efficient wave picking and quicker order fulfillment across more than 4,000 daily lines.
