Luís Simões' Warehouse in Spain Has Pallet Racks and an Automated Warehouse Sequencer

Luís Simões, a major logistics operator in Spain, needed to manage nearly 100,000 pallets and prepare more than 4,000 orders per day while keeping shipments organized by route and ready for fast dispatch. Interlake Mecalux provided the storage and warehouse management foundation for the new logistics centre in Cabanillas del Campo, including pallet racking, an automated Pallet Shuttle warehouse, transfer cars, and Easy WMS software.

Interlake Mecalux implemented a sequenced-order buffer warehouse that consolidates, sorts, and dispatches prepared pallets in the correct delivery order. The solution increased goods flow, optimized vehicle loading, reduced errors, enabled non-stop operation, and improved space efficiency, with Luís Simões noting that the automated warehouse uses about 6,500 m² instead of the 9,000 m² that would otherwise be needed.
