Kiwi Greensun the Perfect Degree of Ripeness for a Cold Storage Warehouse

Kiwi Greensun, the Iberian Peninsula’s largest kiwi producer in Portugal, needed to modernize its ripening room and improve control over growing production volumes. To meet rising demand and ensure kiwis were stored and shipped at the right ripeness, the company turned to Interlake Mecalux for an automated storage solution managed by Easy WMS.

Interlake Mecalux implemented a 43-foot-tall automated clad-rack warehouse with 512-pallet capacity, double-deep racking, stacker crane automation, and Easy WMS integration with Kiwi Greensun’s ERP. The result is faster and safer handling, strict stock traceability, better quality control, and reduced cooling energy use thanks to the compact 4,300 ft² footprint.
