A Interlake Mecalux Case Study
Porcelanosa Group, a leading Spanish ceramics manufacturer with operations in more than 100 countries, needed to modernize and automate its warehouse network to support growth and improve the storage and handling of finished goods. To address this challenge, Porcelanosa worked with Interlake Mecalux to automate its logistics centers in Villareal, Castellón, including the new Venis facility, using stacker cranes, pallet conveyor systems, and warehouse management software.
Interlake Mecalux delivered a fully automated logistics center for Venis, connecting the production plant to the warehouse and streamlining receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch. The solution created more than 75,000 square feet of automated storage with capacity for over 65,000 pallets, helping the Porcelanosa Group reach its target of 275,000 pallets total, while increasing throughput, traceability, space utilization, and worker safety.
