Grupo Familia Is on the Cutting edge of Logistics in the Personal Hygiene Care Sector in Colombia

Grupo Familia, a Colombian company specializing in personal care and hygiene products, needed a high-capacity warehouse to manage a growing number of SKUs while reducing logistics costs. To meet this challenge, Interlake Mecalux provided an automated clad-rack warehouse solution, along with the Easy WMS warehouse management system and Galileo control software.

Interlake Mecalux implemented a 115-foot-high automated clad-rack warehouse in Cajicá, Colombia, with about 17,000 pallet positions and recirculating conveyors for efficient inbound and outbound flow. The facility expanded in phases without interrupting operations, adding three more aisles and increasing capacity by 9,480 pallets, while improving storage density, throughput, safety, and overall logistics efficiency.
