Frozen Butter Storage Operates With the Pallet Shuttle System at Burro De Paoli

Burro De Paoli, an Italian butter producer with more than 50 years of experience, needed a more efficient way to store frozen butter and partially finished products in its two refrigerated chambers in Vicenza. The company partnered with Interlake Mecalux and adopted a semi-automatic Pallet Shuttle system to improve productivity, maximize storage density, and reduce manual handling in a -13°F environment.

Interlake Mecalux installed the Pallet Shuttle system across 174 channels, creating space for 1,494 pallets of 32” x 48” size, with each pallet supporting up to 1.32 t. The solution enabled FIFO inventory management by batch or channel, sped up loading and unloading without forklifts entering the racks, and improved safety and operational efficiency while making full use of warehouse space.
