FIC, a French supplier of products for construction professionals, needed to centralize its fast-growing logistics operations and manage a very wide product range—about 12,000 SKUs of varying sizes. To improve storage, picking, and service levels, FIC turned to Interlake Mecalux for a solution that could combine automation with flexible storage for pallets, boxes, and long goods.

Interlake Mecalux implemented an integrated logistics center featuring an AS/RS for boxes, pallet racks, cantilever racks, and Easy WMS warehouse management software. The automated miniload system alone stores more than 10,000 boxes in just 5% of the floor space and has doubled picking throughput versus manual systems, while helping reduce labor costs, improve inventory control, and speed up order preparation and shipping.
