Efficient Management of Canned Vegetables From Cistér With a New Warehouse

Cistér, a Portuguese producer of pulses, needed to expand storage capacity and speed up dispatch as production and sales increased. To modernize its supply chain, the company worked with Interlake Mecalux to automate logistics in its Alcobaça facility using an automatic Pallet Shuttle system with transfer cars and Easy WMS.

Interlake Mecalux implemented a high-density automated warehouse with 12,672 pallet positions, connected to production by conveyors and managed in real time by Easy WMS. The solution supports around 180 pallet movements per hour, improves stock control and FIFO management, reduces manual handling errors, and gives Cistér a flexible, high-throughput operation ready for future growth.
