Decathlon Has Opened a New Omnichannel Warehouse in Northampton United Kingdom

Decathlon, the sports retailer, needed to scale its omnichannel logistics in the UK to handle a large and growing volume of online orders and store replenishment across 35,000 SKUs. To support this challenge, the company turned to Interlake Mecalux and its shelving for picking solution at its Northampton warehouse.

Interlake Mecalux installed 1,939 direct-access picking shelving units across a three-story mezzanine, helping Decathlon store varied small products more efficiently and speed up order preparation. The new setup improved picking productivity and enabled the warehouse to process up to 3,000 online orders per day while shipping 50,000 to 55,000 items daily to Decathlon’s UK stores.
