A Interlake Mecalux Case Study
DECASA, Mexico’s largest distributor of consumer products, needed a new warehouse to manage a wide range of goods, from small items to bulky products, while supporting rapid growth and fast delivery across the country. To meet these demands, vendor Interlake Mecalux provided a tailored storage and handling concept using Easy WMS and Galileo, combining automated and semi-automated systems to optimize reception, storage, picking, and dispatch.
Interlake Mecalux implemented an “eight warehouses in one” solution featuring an automated clad-rack warehouse, Pallet Shuttle storage, multi-level picking towers, pallet racking, a sorter, loading docks, and self-stacking storage. The installation gives DECASA capacity for 36,650 pallets in a 5.44-acre facility, supports more than 5,000,000 boxes shipped per month, and helps 90% of deliveries arrive within 24 hours, while improving productivity and enabling future expansion.
