Cosmopak One Aisle Two Temperatures and Thousands of SKUs

Cosmopak, a Portuguese cosmetics manufacturer and packager, needed to expand its supply chain in a limited footprint while managing more than 2,500 SKUs across raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished products, and packaging. The company also had to handle different unit loads, including pallets, big bags, and IBCs, while maintaining traceability, temperature control, and tight coordination with production. Interlake Mecalux helped Cosmopak address these challenges with an automated warehouse and warehouse management system.

Interlake Mecalux implemented a 486-foot-long automated single-aisle warehouse with double-deep racking, a stacker crane, and Easy WMS integration with SAP ERP. The solution organizes 3,800 pallets by product type, demand, and temperature, while tracking all movements and supporting FIFO dispatch, production supply, and IBC reuse control. As a result, Cosmopak gained better stock control, full traceability, improved logistics efficiency, and the ability to move 150 pallets per day through a highly automated, space-saving installation.
