Compact Storage Systems at Selmi's New Warehouse in Brazil

Selmi, one of Brazil’s largest food companies, needed to reorganize its warehouse in Rolândia to improve product management, increase storage capacity, and handle a wide range of SKUs more efficiently. To support its fast logistics operation, Selmi turned to Interlake Mecalux for a storage solution that could better classify goods by demand and expiration date while keeping order fulfillment moving quickly.

Interlake Mecalux equipped the warehouse with three systems: selective pallet racks, drive-in racks, and a semi-automatic Pallet Shuttle system. Together, the solutions provide capacity for 3,263 pallets and help Selmi receive and dispatch about 1,400 pallets per day more efficiently, while improving inventory control, reducing handling, and supporting FIFO management for expiration-sensitive food products.
