A Interlake Mecalux Case Study
Churchill China, a British ceramic tableware manufacturer based in Stoke-on-Trent, needed to reorganise its 18,500 m² finished goods warehouse to manage a wide range of SKUs more efficiently and handle a high volume of daily orders. To address this challenge, the company worked with Interlake Mecalux and chose pallet racking with direct-access storage to improve both storage capacity and order-picking performance.
Interlake Mecalux installed pallet racks across almost the entire warehouse, providing space for more than 5,000 pallets and incorporating live channels for both pallets and cartons. The solution helped Churchill China streamline picking, reduce congestion, and keep reserve stock readily available, resulting in a 10% increase in productivity and a 40% increase in space allocated to picking.
