Chemical Manufacturer Trumpler Builds an Automated Warehouse With Stacker Cranes and Conveyors Next to Its Factory in Barcelona

Trumpler, a multinational chemical company founded in Barcelona, needed more storage space for its 500+ SKUs at its production center while keeping costs under control and maintaining a continuous product flow. To address this challenge, Interlake Mecalux proposed an automated storage and retrieval solution tailored to the building layout, using its AS/RS technology and Easy WMS warehouse management system.

Interlake Mecalux installed a 9,041 ft² AS/RS with two double aisles, double-depth racks, twin-mast stacker cranes, conveyors, a transfer car, and Galileo control software. The system now stores 2,512 pallets of raw materials and finished products, improves throughput through fully automated handling, and reduces errors by eliminating manual intervention.
